The hiring process at CPLA started earlier this year and we are filling up quickly, but we would love to meet with everyone who is interested in working at our organization! As a low-cost provider of mental health services, we are designed as a group supervision model. At this time, we have filled our (limited number of ) positions for candidates whose university requirements include individual/triadic supervision. As such, if you are applying, please know we will only be able to offer you group clinical supervisions. We look forward to meeting with each and every one of you. In these uncertain times, we at CPLA look at all the positives and we feel so blessed to have the chance to meet people who share our passion for helping at-risk children in a clinical setting.

Supervision in counselling is a process whereby a counsellor meets with a supervisor to discuss and reflect on their counselling practice. The aim of supervision is to help the counsellor develop their skills and confidence in working with clients, as well as to ensure that they are adhering to ethical and professional standards. Supervision can take place on an individual or group basis, and there are various different approaches that can be used. However, all supervision should provide the counsellor with an opportunity to reflect on their practice, receive feedback, and learn from their mistakes. In this way, supervision plays an essential role in ensuring that counselling is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
